Born in Trinidad and Tobago, but raised in Miami, Dizzy started booking and promoting concerts while working at Slip-N-Slide Records under the guidance of Byron Trice and Ted Lucas. This was the perfect stomping grounds to the beginning of his career. At Miami’s forefront label, his A&R’s projects included Trina, Plies and Rick Ross while lending his expertise to Poe Boy Records. At Poe Boy, he worked with Flo Rida, YT Triz, and Brianna Perry with E-Class.
It wasn’t too long after Slip-N-Slide when Dizzy realized his desire to explore the artistic development of recording artists in the world of A&R and help them take their careers to the next level. He noticed his potential to build careers and generate hits by connecting talents. His professional label beginnings emerged by managing the notorious Ball Greezy, trendsetting Bobby Shmurda and his current artist and Future’s protègè, Zoey Dollaz.
Consequently, in 2018, Dizzy became the lead A&R and the executive producer for DJ Snake. As a result, he became the architect behind one of the most significant records of 2019 with the hit song “Taki Taki” which features some of the biggest names in the industry like DJ Snake, Selena Gomez, Cardi B, and Ozuna. The single peaked at No. 15 on the US charts while hitting the number 1 and number 2 positions globally earning numerous awards: El Premio ASCAP, BreakTudo Awards, Latin American Music Awards, Premios Lo Nuestro (Univision Networks), MTV Millennial Awards, Premios Juventud, BMI Latin Awards and Billboard Latin Music Awards.
Following the global success of “Taki Taki,” Dizzy was the visionary behind DJ Snake’s next global bilingual smash titled “Loco Contigo.” Dizzy put together the powerhouse talents of J Balvin and Tyga to take “Loco Contigo” to soaring heights. Moreover, he has collaborated with artists including Farruko, Ozuna, Lunay, Anuel AA, Karol G, Doja Cat, Buju Banton, Lil Mosey, Don Toliver, Nav, Swae Lee, Peewee Longway, and many more. In addition to this, he is an Executive Producer for Universal Music Latin, where he’s always looking for new opportunities to create the perfect crossover for artists in all markets.
Equally important, Dizzy consults and A&Rs on a day-to-day basis with Roc Nation looking out for Bobby Fishcale, Angelica Vila, and Casanova. Furthermore, Dizzy also works with Austin Rosen, Post Malone’s manager, where the two built “We Good LLC,” a company that manages and publishes artists.
At the end of 2020, Dizzy closed the year by colliding powerhouse artists like Lil Mosey, Tyga, and Swae Lee for the official soundtrack of the animated SpongeBob movie “Krabby Step,” as well as the impressive success of Internet Money’s latest hit “Lemonade” ft. Don Toliver, Gunna & Nav, in addition to the striking response to Ozuna’s latest hit song “Del Mar” ft. Sia & Doja Cat.
In 2021, Dizzy worked on Ozuna’s and Anuel AA’s latest album “Los Dioses,” and the latest song from Selena Gomez ft. DJ Snake “Selfish Love” which was released in March, 2021 respectively. Other music credits from Dizzy in 2021 include: Angelic Moreno “9 Times Outta 10,” Chris Brown & Young Thug “Animal,” Saweetie “Back To The Streets,” Zoey Dollaz “Bad Tings,” “Circle Small,” Puff Daddy & The Family “Blow a Check,” Bobby Fishscale “Cheating,” “Dreaming,” LeMagic “Complacerte,” 4B ft.
